Watch the movie. It’ll change your views and your life. Although the 1973 version is better in my opinion

No, I referenced the trial. In this scene it shows the violence which would have made the decision a clear choice for Pilate.

I think you may be thinking of a different scene, the trial before Pilate perhaps?

Originally it was an LP-record, and it was later on made an musical, then in 73 into a movie, and re-made in 2000

what i meant was he had a bad way of putting his point

This scene was horrible. The whole premise of Pilate’s dilemma at the trials was that there had been no violence or fighting in the movement, but he was still being pressured to hand down a death sentence. This scene made no sence at all.

Sorry, but I doubt anyone would believe a Pro-Choice Senator whose former pastor was a racist would play a convincing Jesus.

Simon has a good point, but a good way to put that point to others.

It rocks! Cast for 2008: Obama (Jesus). Dick Cheney: Ciaphas. Simon Zealots: George Bush. Mary Magdelene? Maybe, Condoleeza Rice. Or Ophra? Judas? Gotta be some P.R. Guy, like Stephanopolous. Maybe Jake Tapper?

Wow! That’s a pretty twisted interpretation of this video.
Is that really all you garnered from this?

The original from ‘73 doesn’t compare with this imitation! It’s really funny that in this version Jesus is almost gay and Simon has an attitude like he’ saying “Jesus I wanna make love to/with you!” :))))

This version does pick up on the revolutionary currents that were running through Palestine in the 1st century AD. Some of Jesus’ follows clearly believed he would bring political revolution and by force if necessary. A small example of this in the Gospels is that some of the apostles incl Peter at times carried swords.

It has some good points but it does not have the choreography of the 1973 version. Simon Zealotes is one of the best performed parts of the 1973 rock opera.
